JODI WRIGHT
Jodi is the owner and director of the Great Lakes Twirling Academy. She has dedicated her life to working with kids; through her passion for the art of baton twirling, dance and teaching.
Jodi began twirling baton at the age of 6. Jodi spent 12 years as a competitive twirler and performer traveling across Michigan and the United States. She is the former featured twirler at the LakeVille High School and Saginaw Valley State University. She began teaching baton in the Davison area over 18 years ago, at the age of 15. This is when the Great Lakes Twirling Academy began. Soon after GLTA classes were offered in 5 different school districts throughout the Genessee County area. Since that time Jodi has devoted her time and energy to working with children and giving them this amazing learning and growth opportunity. Jodi is a certified coach and judge through the United States Twirling Academy, Twirling Unlimited, Drum Majorettes of America, and Twirling Unlimited. Aside from GLTA, Jodi a former student at Saginaw Valley State University pursing a degree in education with a major in kinesiology.
Jodi is very involved in the Davison Community. She is employed at Davison Community School and is a staff member for the DHS Marching Band. Jodi has been an active member of the Davison Optimist Club and the Davison Area Chamber of Commerce.
JENNIFER WEST
Jennifer is an award winning baton twirler with 20 years of twirling and teaching. During her competitive years Jennifer won numerous championship titles and participated on the Michigan Royalty on Parade’s champion teams. She has also been a part of the MROP’s performance groups, performing at Detroit Piston’s Games. Jennifer is a graduate of Baker College and is employed at St. Mary’s Hospital as a surgical technologist.
JESSICA GOOD
Jessica was the first student of the Great Lakes Twirling Academy when it began in 1988. During her twelve years of twirling she competed across Michigan as well as various other states. She was a part of GLTA's many champion & medal winning teams. Jessica has been teaching with the Great Lakes Twirling Academy for 8 years. She is a 2000 graduate from Davison High School where she was a Varsity Pom Pon Squad member and a twirler with the Marching Band. Jessica is a certified twirling judge through Twirling Unlimited. She has an associate degree from Baker College and is currently employed at the Davison State Bank
JESSICA WHITE
Jessica has seven years of dance experience. She is former member of the Swartz Creek High School Dance Team. Her expience as a dance team member allowed her to travel and compete, winning a bronze medal at Nationals in Orlando, and performing at Detroit Piston's Games. Jessica is a student the University of Michigan-Flint majoring in criminal justice and sociology, with the hopes of becoming an attorney.
JAMIE ZIEMBO
Jamie is a 2005 graduate of Davison High School, where she spent four years as a twirler with the Davison High School Marching Band. She began twirling at the young age of 7 and has competed at numerous contests both local and across the country. Jamie is the recipient of the 2005 TU International Solo Pom Pon Champion. Jamie has also been a part of the Michigan Royalty on Parade Twirling and Dance Team and has performed at the Detroit Pistons Games. She has coached several national champion pom pon soloist and teams. Jamie is a student at the University of Michigan-Flint pursuing a career in Accounting.
