DRESS CODE
All participants are excepted to wear clothes that allow them to stretch and flex.  We HIGHLY ENCOURAGED LEOTARDS, however they are not mandatory.  Cotton shorts and tank tops are acceptable.  No street shoes allowed on the dance floor.   Participants MUST have their hair up and tightly secured.  Please do not wear jeans, dress shoes, flip flops, or skirts.

TUITION PAYMENTS
Tuition is due the first week of every month and is considered late if not received by the 10^th of each month.  On the 11^th of each month any accounts with a remaining balance will be issued a $20.00 late fee.  If an account becomes 30 days overdue the student will not be able to return to the studio until the account it returned to a zero balance.  The tuition is based on a yearly fee.  The fiscal year will begin in September and through June.  Therefore, the tuition will be the same each month regardless of the number of classes offered or received during a given month.   Students are responsible for tuition regardless of attendance.  This fee covers weekly lessons only, other charges will occur for recital, costumes, and special events lessons.  A $25.00 NSF fee will be charged for any checks returned by the bank.
 

WITHDRAWALS
There is one month minimum for all lessons.  Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone.  Withdrawals must be done at the studio office and not with the teacher.  To withdraw from a class a parent must:

1. Inform studio office in person, and
2. Complete and sign a withdraw form provided by the studio office.

Great Lakes Twirling Academy reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student for any reason.  In such a case a refund for the remainder of the months classes (from the date of dismissal) will be given.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lesson students must cancel their private lesson with at least 24 hours notice.  If 24 hours notice is not given your lesson will not be rescheduled.  If notice is given lesson can be rescheduled.  We encourage you to find someone to trade lesson times with if you cannot make your scheduled lesson.

ATTENDANCE
Any classes missed by a teacher will be made up at the earliest convenience of both the student and the teachers.  Any classes missed by the student will not be made up unless otherwise arranged.  Private lesson students are expected to “trade lessons” with another private lesson student, when they can not attend their scheduled time.  GLTA will follow Davison Schools for snow day cancelations.  Showcase Team members are expected to be at all practices.  If absence must occur, the absence must be pre-arranged.  Missing an excessive amount of practice will result in dismissal from the team.

PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of the parent to be aware of al studio activities, extra classes and dates the studio is open or closed.  Studio calendars will be available at the front desk as of October 1^st.   Changes and additions to the calendar will be sent in an e-mail and will be posted on the website.  It is the responsibility of the parent to check for changes.

INJURIES
Parents, waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on the studio property or at studio events.

CANCELATIONS
The Studio is closed for the dates listed on the SCHEDULE. We follow the Davison Community Schools Calendar for Breaks.

During bad weather, if Davison Schools are closed, the studio is closed.
